Bone Morphogenetic Protein-7 (BMP-7) has been used in bone regrowth applications in over 40,000 patients.

A Phase I and Phase IIa trial has been completed with BMP-7 in OA. The Phase IIa trial demonstrated performance in disease modification and cartilage regrowth as a secondary endpoint.

Ember Therapeutics is ready to begin Phase IIb trials for the use of BMP-7 in osteoarthritis with disease modification (cartilage building) as an end-point.

Ember Therapeutics is ready to begin Phase IIb trials for the use of BMP-7 in osteoarthritis with disease modification (cartilage building) as an end-point. Additionally, the company is ready to begin Phase I trials for the systemic use of BMP-7 in CKD and Alport’s Syndrome. Ember plans to seek orphan drug designation for BMP-7 in Alport’s Syndrome because of the genetic nature of the disease and the small number of patients (<6,000).

Intellectual Property Rights:

Ember acquired over 450 patents and the rights to BMP-7 related research, and completed clinical trials and materials from Stryker Corporation. Ember has assembled a management team and a scientific advisory board with extensive experience in the study of osteoarthritis, organ fibrosis, therapeutic development, and BMP-7 technology.
